Tuesday, December 16, students received a PC dictionary provided by the municipality.
They could use throughout their primary education, a useful tool for progress.
The meeting with Nathalie Novi held November 18, 2010.
Nathalie Novi is a illustrator who illustrated books for children , France.
We made an appointment at the library. We him have asked our questions, which she tried to answer. Then we showed him our illustrations of the text "The 12 coats Mom" on our way. The lady who printed the texts on our project, asked to guess what Nathalie Novi pei nture illustrates each text. It is well arrival!
After she showed us his equipment. Also, how she uses it. She gave us a drawing, in which she wrote: "Miss Alice, Mr. Rabbit, and Mr Bird who go mad hatter's birthday at the library Florens ac a smile full of happiness "
Benjamin.
Thursday 18 November, we entered the library.
I saw Nathalie Novi, and I told myself: "Wow! An illustrator before us! She is not dressed like us, she wears blue, green, and then heading ir, full of colors of nature and vivid color. J'é quiet impressed. As she draws well! In three seconds, it made a beautiful drawing.
Nat Halie Novi is the illustrator godmother u festival of the mother fish "this year. We asked him questions on his craft and his vie.On asked him "what is your favorite color? ". She said" Light. "Nicolas.
To answer the questions in the comments of the previous article, here is an example of using little books: On the occasion of Mothers Day and Fathers Day.
I used these two poems: "If I " for Mother's Day and "A Dad" for Father's Day. Students read and learned these poems, then they had to produce their "how to ...." I chose these poems because they were easy to reproduce, with their repetitive phrases (I remember I did this with a class CE1).
It is obviously possible to transpose this cycle 3 or for other occasions. For example, this year I think to write to my CM2 a Christmas story as we have worked hard on it during the quarter.
This is a great way to develop writing skills in our classrooms, from CP to CM2!
The "Little Books" were created by the Publishing Célestines , a 1901 law association created in 2007 to support and assist schools in writing activities.
The great advantage of this site is that it can generate a small book of only 7 pages from an A4 sheet!
To make a small book, is simple: students begin by writing a short text on a piece of rough (on the computer or on a sheet of paper). Once the necessary corrections, they type their own text on the computer using either the document in Publisher available on the website or the software " Lecriveron . Some pages may be left free to add illustrations. Then print the text on an A4 sheet, be folded following the directions of the site, and we add drawings if desired!
You'll understand, students will also use the tool, giving them the opportunity to work some skills of B2i. In my
CM2, this is part of the activities available during free time (independently). Output formats should be short, despite this, students take time to write their stories. This allows me to not be "overloaded" corrections. I corrected the first time thanks to the correction code used in class usually. The student then reviews the text and hands it to me for a second reading. Once fully corrected, it uses one of two computers in the classroom setting to own.
last year with my CE1, we launched this business Mother's Day and Father's Day. It had rained so the students that they too had wanted to write in their spare time! At the end of the year, we had a couple of little books in the library of the class! ;-)
Also in the news of the moment, this section of the World, informing us that France has not seen fit to attend the Forum on Education of Bahrain in the Persian Gulf, which Yet 48 countries have participated! It must be said that it was to evoke the school of the XXI century ...
A very interesting article, read here :
Did you know? ... The President of the UMP group in the Assembly would introduce an entrance examination sixth. This would imply a complete overhaul of primary school, including changing the status of the school principal, who would be responsible for evaluating teachers as a true entrepreneur. Read HERE but THE let THE .
And voila! A period spent! It was for me very rich, studious and involved ... But it was time I got back post articles on this blog! :-)
I propose a sequence based on the tales diverted on different versions of Little Red Riding Hood and Bluebeard, Perrault. I was inspired by a sequence given on the website of the riding of Saint-Martin-d'Hères and have conducted in my classroom with a period of CM2.
Here the complete sequence and its appendices (from Session No. 5). Some documents are to be built in class with students. Clicking the covers of books, you'll have access to typescripts of Le Petit Chaperon Vert, Navy Blue Riding Hood and Barbe Rose. For the Little Red Riding Hood and Bluebeard, I could get the books in series in the libraries of my city.
And remember: download = comments on this work! Happy holidays to all! :-)
