To answer the questions in the comments of the previous article, here is an example of using little books: On the occasion of Mothers Day and Fathers Day.
I used these two poems: "If I " for Mother's Day and "A Dad" for Father's Day. Students read and learned these poems, then they had to produce their "how to ...." I chose these poems because they were easy to reproduce, with their repetitive phrases (I remember I did this with a class CE1).
It is obviously possible to transpose this cycle 3 or for other occasions. For example, this year I think to write to my CM2 a Christmas story as we have worked hard on it during the quarter.
