Invocation For Dining In

output along the Herault







On 26 November, we followed the river Hérault and visited the cities along.
way, we saw the bridge renovation of the devil.
We did a treasure hunt in San Guilhem le Desert. Be answered questions about the fountains and the Cardabelles .
We visited the abbey. We saw a cross that was offered to Guilhaume Orange by his cousin Charlemagne . A box-shaped abbey contains the bones of William of Orange to protect them from flooding da tions. The cloister is a garden with a fish pond.
We saw a fish: it is a place where trout are bred and crayfish.
We have observed the giant's castle from afar.

We picnicked quickly because it was cold.
Then we went to St. Thibéry . We saw the Roman bridge half broken by the flood Herault . Besides, there is the corn mill and we counted her 7 wheels.

Legend Giant's Castle
Legend tells the story of a cruel giant who captured the women of Saint Guilhem Desert.
One day a man called William of Orange that he confronts. However, a magpie sees William and prevents the giant. It does not believe her because she often jokes.
William disguises himself as a woman to enter the castle . The giant lets him. A titanic struggle ensued.
William of Orange won the battle and brought down the giant castle.

The Legend of Devil's Bridge
The inhabitants of Saint Guilhem le Desert were building a bridge with his bare hands. But every night the devil came down from heaven and destroyed. The people went to see William of Orange to fight the devil.
So William met the devil and offered him a deal: "You let us build a strong bridge and the first soul to cross will be for you."
residents could build a solid bridge. William made a pass over dog pans. The devil was angry and wanted to destroy the work but the bridge was too strong. The devil fell into the water and died.
